June Lake Day Trip
We visited June Lake Beach, which is a family-friendly park just outside of Mammoth. Parking is easy and the backdrop is spectacular, making this a great day trip to swim, sunbathe, kayak or paddleboard.
The area also features a 2-mile loop from June Lake to Gull Lake, which is ideal for dog walks. Walk from meadows to marsh with aspen and conifer groves in between. At this time of year, wild irises are blooming in the meadows above the loop trail.
Our favorite thing to do is grab a picnic lunch from Ohanas395 (the Hawaiian food truck located in the parking lot of June Lake Brewing) and head to the beach.
